The path to becoming an Eagle Scout is one of dedication, leadership, and personal growth.

Scouting is not just about earning merit badges.

Scouting is not just about camp outs and canoe trips either (although fun).

Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout is about forging character and acquiring skills that last a lifetime.

Reflecting on earning the rank of Eagle Scout has me realizing how valuable that time in my life was due to the profound, long lasting impact it’s had on my career and personal life.

For me, joining Scouts was an enjoyment of all sorts of outdoor activities — camping, canoeing, fishing, and hiking. Over a long time period in my youth it become more about leadership, community engagement, and lending a helping hand to others.

Here’s why aiming for the rank of Eagle Scout is profoundly valuable for young people…

Ethics and Morality:

The Scout Law instills values like trustworthiness, loyalty, and kindness — qualities that are foundational for personal integrity. These values can help instill an excellent sense of right and wrong in anyone, no matter their religious or cultural values.
